Lucknow/Ahmedabad: The Uttar Pradesh government is ramping up efforts to make the Maha Kumbh 2025, set to take place in Prayagraj from January 13 to February 26, a grand and divine event. Urban Development and Energy Minister Arvind Kumar Sharma and Minister of State for Vocational Education (Independent Charge) Kapil Dev Agarwal took the campaign to Ahmedabad, where they invited the people of Gujarat to attend the Mahakumbh through a press conference, road show, and dialogue program.
During their interaction with media, public representatives, dignitaries, and social workers at the Hyatt Hotel in Ahmedabad, the ministers provided details about the event’s preparations, features, and special security arrangements being made. They emphasized that the Mahakumbh is not just a religious event but a confluence of Indian culture, heritage, spirituality, and modernity.
Minister Sharma expressed that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government is determined to make the event both spiritually enriching and grand in scale. He described the Kumbh as an opportunity to showcase India’s cultural and spiritual traditions on a global stage, bringing peace and spirituality to millions of devotees worldwide.
Kapil Dev Agarwal added that Maha Kumbh 2025 is not just an Indian event but a global symbol of Indian culture. He appealed to the people of Gujarat, noting that the state has always held religious faith and traditions in high regard, and urged them to be part of this historic event.
The ministers also shared that the preparations for the event are nearly complete, with arrangements being made for the safe participation of crores of devotees and dignitaries from around the world. The Maha Kumbh will not only be a spiritual gathering but also a global platform for Indian culture, traditions, and spirituality.
Further reinforcing the campaign, the ministers noted that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had visited Gujarat the previous day, presenting the Governor and Chief Minister of Gujarat with invitation letters for the event, along with symbolic items such as Kumbh Kalash containing Gangajal and jaggery from Uttar Pradesh. Both Gujarat’s Governor and Chief Minister expressed their support and promised to attend the event.
The Uttar Pradesh government is running an extensive publicity campaign, reaching out to various states to invite citizens to join the Maha Kumbh, ensuring its success as a historic and divine celebration.
